Notice Regarding USPTO Representation

Effective March 18, 2025, I, Shan Zhu, am no longer authorized to act as a practitioner before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) because my practice before the Office has been suspended for a period of ten (10) months. A copy of the suspension order is available here .

As of that date, I cannot represent clients or take any action on their behalf before the USPTO.

Clients are advised to promptly seek representation from another qualified U.S.-licensed attorney or other authorized USPTO practitioner if they are not already represented.

For foreign applicants, representation by a U.S.-licensed attorney or other authorized U.S. practitioner is required to continue proceedings before the USPTO.

USPTO correspondence will be sent directly to applicants or their new representatives. Clients should ensure that the USPTO has a current and valid email address on record and should independently monitor their matters for any deadlines or required actions.

With respect to matters previously handled by me, there are no unearned fees or advanced costs owed to clients. If a client believes otherwise or has a question regarding fees or costs, the client may contact me for clarification.

This public notice is provided for informational purposes only. Individual written notices have been or will be provided directly to affected clients regarding specific matters, deadlines, and file transfer.
